What’s happening out there in our Santa Clarita market?

Our active inventory is moving in a positive direction. A lot of people are listing their homes because they feel that we’re getting near the top of the market. A lot of people are also still buying homes. Last month, we had 361 homes sell. There are currently 589 active home listings in Santa Clarita, and 605 that are in escrow.

At this pace, things are still moving fast enough to keep inventory at a low level. In a normal market here in Santa Clarita, we average between 1,000 to 1,400 available homes. As you can see, we’re still far below the number that we need to be in a balanced, average market.
There are great opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
Looking strictly at the numbers, we’re in an extreme seller’s market. However, buyers are getting pickier and pickier. We aren’t seeing as many multiple offer situations, but because interest rates are still so low, there are still a lot of opportunities out there for both buyers and sellers.
