It’s almost Christmas. Can you believe it? We are looking forward to serving you in the new year, but before we get there we want you to know about some great holiday lights around town. Each of these places is right here in Santa Clarita, so you and your family can pack up in the car and check them out for yourselves:

Cotton Blossom Lane, Royal Oaks Rd., and Stevenson Ranch. These streets are all next to one another and they boast over 55,000 lights for you to see. Pretty much any street in this area off of Hope Parkway or Hemingway is great.

27841 Crown Circle. This is an eight-house courtyard where the whole community gets together to put on an amazing light display. They even pass out hot chocolate for the people passing through!

Essex Place. This is right off of Hillsborough Parkway. This amazing street is also known as Reindeer Lane. You’ll see Santa’s reindeer scattered throughout the displays. Keep an eye out for Rudolph and his shiny nose!

Homestead Place. This street in Saugus Canyon has a special place in my heart because it’s the home to some of our favorite clients, the Ang family. You’ll see lights strung back and forth between the houses and some really amazing decorations.

Wakefield Court. This is also in Saugus Canyon and affectionately known as the “Wakefield Winter Wonderland.” This is quite possibly the most popular street in Santa Clarita as far as Christmas lights are concerned.
We encourage you to check out all of these places.
We hope you take the time to enjoy a few of these places this holiday season. If you have any questions for us or any real estate needs in the new year, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I would love to hear from you.

Sometimes we need to push real estate aside and focus on things in life that really matter.

Unfortunately, a friend of mine received the incredibly difficult news recently that his three-and-a-half-year-old son Hayes was diagnosed with high-risk stage four neuroblastoma cancer.

As a father of two kids of seven and four years, it really rocked my world to hear what Hayes and his family are going through. I can't even imagine getting that news, but the strength and optimism their family has shown has been nothing short of inspiring. I knew I had to help because if I was in the same spot, this family and the whole community would jump in to help too.

Hayes’ father, Chace Unruh, is a local chiropractor who has healed a lot of people and is a huge philanthropist in the local area. I wanted to share the message that he shared with me:

"On April 4th, our youngest son Hayes, three years old, was diagnosed with stage four high-risk neuroblastoma. We always knew he was one in a million, but it turns out that he's one in 7 million. He's always been strong, healthy, and super active. He began doing his 'super kicks' in utero and earned the name Crazy ‘Hayesy’ before he was even born.

We have been overwhelmed with prayers and offers of help from our family, friends, church, and caring community as a whole. We are so thankful and grateful for the gifts, blood donations, and most of all, your prayers. Our heavenly Father sees our need and our tears and will carry us through this.

Hayes is currently undergoing his second round of chemo and is so far handling it like the brave little guy that he is. According to the wonderful doctors at CHLA Children's Hospital, he has a long road ahead, but we believe in miracles and we are determined to keep life as normal and fun as possible for him and the rest of the family.

'My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever' - Psalm 73:26."

There's something about the Santa Clarita Valley community, the state of California, and the country as a whole that, as crazy as we may be, when we face a difficult obstacle, we all tend to pull together quickly and set our differences aside so we can help each other out in the tough times. That's why I want to ask for your help in helping the incredible Unruh family.
Help us show Hayes that he has our unconditional support.
On Wednesday, May 24 we're having Children's Hospital come out and set up 100 time slots for people to donate blood. Hayes has a long battle ahead of him and we need as much blood as possible. My goal is to load that signup list with all 100 spots and then some.

Even if you're not a blood type match, they can trade it out for other people. Any donations helps Hayes or other people in his situation. All you need to do is mention Hayes' name and his birthday, and that blood will be dedicated to him.

If you have any questions or concerns at all, don't hesitate to contact me. We'll do whatever it takes to get you there, whether that's sending an Uber, a taxi, or personally picking you up myself! We want to do everything we can to support Hayes and the Unruh family.

Let's go to work and show this amazing child and his family that we've got their back. We appreciate your time and support!

Why Are Real Estate Trusts So Important?

Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about real estate trusts. Whether you are setting a trust up for yourself or your parents, setting up a trust is a great idea.

We have run into many scenarios lately where assets such as residential or commercial real estate are not properly set up. When you leave a property to a designated family member, you need to put the property in a trust or you will have to go through probate court.

Even if you think you are all set up, it’s best to double check. Unfortunately, there are many people out there running scams on property trusts. Check in with your parents or grandparents to make sure everything is in place.
Real estate trusts help you avoid months of probate court.
These conversations are tough, but they are also incredibly important. Estate and property issues are the last things you want when you are coming together as a family to remember the life of a loved one.

Probate court can take at least six months and will cost you a lot of money in attorney fees. To avoid probate, we can put you in touch with a great estate or trust attorney so that you know your property trust is set up correctly.

If you have any other questions about property trusts or real estate in general, give us a call or send us an email. We would be happy to help you!
